We pipers tend to ignore them but the path to better pipe band competition is found in their example. The “Haughs of Cromdale” commemorates a battle that took place on April 30, 1690, in which a tiny Jacobite force was routed on the low ground (haughs) at Cromdale. The battle was small, but the result was accepted as the effective end of the Jacobite uprising.
