Reeds take a while to “break in,” as many of us already know, and have already experienced. I don’t know for sure, but I assume this is because all the fibers in the cane of the reed need a chance to stretch out and become flexible in order for it to become a bit easier, and for it to reach its full vibrancy.
Albany, New York’s and SFU alum Andrew Douglas of the Oran Mor Pipe Band and Pipehacker.com have agreed to blend their content as the best way to bring you “better living through bagpipes.” In the coming weeks, many of Andrew’s posts from The Piper’s Dojo blog will be populating the categories as well as new posts appearing regularly. More piping knowledge to explore! Welcome Andrew!
